Leon Arlie Ward

1947-2026

Leon Arlie Ward, 78, of Hancock, Md., passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at home.

Born September 27, 1947 in Hagerstown, Md. He was the son of the late Raymond “Bud” and Opal Spade Ward.

Leon is survived by his wife Sharon. Children Jerry (Heather) Ward, Danielle (Adam) Ward, Kaseena (Rob) Hoover, Rusty Blankley, Jr. (Heather), Dustin Jenkins (Elena), Brittney Diehl (Grant), Kaley Jenkins and Brandy Shives (Travis); 16 grandchildren; brother Marco Ward (Ronda) and sisters Twana Exline (James) and Spring Ward (Rob).

He graduated from Hancock High School in 1965, retired from Volvo and was a Vietnam veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sister Marleen Susan Weller.
