Hancock High School presented Goodwill Cup

Hancock Middle-Senior High School was recently awarded the Goodwill Cup from Horizon Goodwill Industries and earned a donation to the school.

Beside receiving the cup, the school was also awarded $1,000 from the Education Foundation of Washington County Public Schools.

David Shuster from Horizon Goodwill presented the trophy to Community School Manager Amanda Norris at the high school earlier this month.

Sheila Evers from the Education Foundation presented the check.

The competition between schools in Washington County supported the Spring into Education Donation Drive. During the drive, students and others are encouraged to donate gently-used clothing, shoes, accessories, housewares and collectibles into donation bins at the schools.

CNB Bank sponsored the $1,000 prize.

The Education Foundation of WCPS has a mission to enhance education for all students by securing resources to support innovative teaching and learning, serving as a catalyst for uniting schools and their communities.
