The Southern Fulton School District will be holding their annual SFSD STEAM Festival on Sunday, May 3, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Southern Fulton High School.
The family friendly event is free and open to the public.
The STEAM Festival is a way to promote students’ work and showcase the opportunities of STEAM to the community.
At the festival, there will be student displays from kindergarten through 12th grade in art, math, science, culinary, woodshop, agricultural sciences, and the STEM and STEAM classes.
Musical performances from the high school jazz band and Kanti choral group, as well as individual student musicians.
There will also be displays that will include work from junior high science classes, art electives, and a variety of courses and curriculum areas from grades 7 through 12.
Southern Fulton Elementary STEAM and art classes will have a student exhibit where there will be face painting, a raffle benefiting the STEAM Festival, hands on activities, and take-home projects.
There will also be a concession food truck available for those who want to grab lunch or a snack while at the festival.
Doors open at noon and musical performances will take place throughout the event. All displays will open the entire time.
Parking will be available in front of the high school and, if needed, behind the school at the cafeteria.
Students and faculty involved with the festival recognize the “ENGINE of Central PA Remake Learning Days” grant which has provided many of the hands-on materials and awards.
Southern Fulton Jr/Sr High School is located at 13083 Buck Valley Road in Warfordsburg.
