Softball split games against Miners, Rams

The Hancock Panthers Softball team split two games last week against Mountain Ridge and Turkeyfoot Valley Area.

The Panthers hosed the Mountain Ridge Mines on Tuesday, April 21, dropping the contest in five innings to the Miners 16-6.

Kaybree Souders went 1-3 with a triple and an RBI, Makensie Boyer was 2-2 with a triple, sac fly, and two RBI, and Makayla Sexton was 2-3 with two RBI for the Panthers.

The Panthers then traveled to Turkeyfoot Valley to take on the Rams the following day, Wednesday, April 22.

The Panthers righted the ship, picking up the win 7-5.

Sydney True wen 2-4 with a double and two RBI; Kaydence Gaither was 2-4 with a double, home run, and two RBI. Maya Shoemaker, Taylor Weller, and Brooklyn McCusker each added an RBI.

The Panthers had games scheduled for April 24 against Southern Garrett but no score or details were available.

The Lady Panthers had a game this past Monday, April 27, against Northern Garrett and three more next week against Forbes Road on April 30, at Clear Spring on May 1, and against Southern Fulton on May 4
