Donald Lee Fink
1949-2026
Donald (PeeWee) Lee Fink, 77, of Stevensville, Md. and formally of Smithsburg, Md. passed away on March 2, 2026.
He was born February 2, 1949, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. He was the son of the late William D. and Hilda L. (Flowers) Fink.
Don graduated from Smithsburg High School with the class of 1967.
Don always had a positive attitude about life. He enjoyed visiting family and friends, reminiscing about his life and all the things he had experienced growing up. He would visit his Grandparents farm spending summers there and working in the orchards picking peaches.
Don had a pet duck (Donald) and cat (J.T.).
He was a licensed Real Estate agent, Apprentice Barber and a licensed Ham Radio Operator.
His earlier jobs included working for the Washington County Board of Education closed circuit TV studio, EMT for Hagerstown Rescue Squad. His career included working for IBM/Lockheed Martin in Gaithersburg, Md. for 41 years.
After retirement he relocated to the Chesapeake Bay area.
His hobbies included riding through the mountains, photography, woodworking, traveling, making jewelry from sea glass he had collected.
He was proceeded in death by his partner Karen Lawless, Brother-in-law Donald E. McFerren, nephew Ryan L. McFerren, step nephew Patrick McFerren.
He is survived by two sisters Cathy L. McFerren, Virginia Pearson both of Waynesboro, Pa. Nephew Robert R. Pearson, Jr. of Waynesboro, Pa and step nieces Shelly and Dawn McFerren of Carlise, Pa. Close family friends: Timothy Richardson, Jeanne M. Snyder and husband Ells, Deaner K. Lawless, Jr. and wife Sheila, James A. Lawless and wife Janet, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Don (PeeWee) will always be in our heart and favorite memories.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, 3738 Resley Rd. Hancock, MD 21750 with Pastor Virgil Cain officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 22 from 6-8 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md.
