Baseball falls to 1-7 after two losses

The Hancock Panthers dropped two games last week with a 12-1 loss against Berkeley Springs and a 18-0 loss at Fort Hill.

In the game against Berkeley Springs, the Panthers couldn’t muster a hit, but they had four runners reach on a Jayten McCarty walk and three hit by pitches, two of which were Baiei Ray and one for Chandler Buskirk. Ethan Hall had the lone RBI for the Panthers.

On the mound, Panthers’ pitching gave up 12 runs, seven of which were earned, 10 hits, two walks, hit two batters, and struck out four Indian batters.

In the game against Fort Hill, the Panthers got the bats going, but couldn’t push a run across the plate.

They ended the game with three hits and four walks.

Panther pitchers threw four innings giving up 18 runs to the Sentinals, 11 of them earned, on 12 hits and six walks.

The Panthers baseball team falls to 1-7 on the season. The Panthers have three games this week with home games against Turkeyfoot Valley Aera (April 13) and Fort Hill (April 16) and at Mountain Ridge (April 17).
