Gary “Nuke’ Spielman
1942-2026
Gary “Nuke” Spielman passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2026, at the age of 83.
He was born on May 30, 1942, and raised in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
His parents were Dustin Ellis Spielman and Dona Barnes Spielman.
Nuke worked as glazier by trade and retired after 40 years.
He lived life to the fullest. He was an outstanding outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, & camp. Nuke was an amazing father and husband.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Ann Spielman, his daughter, Donna Haynes, and son, Gary “Spook” Spielman & fiancée, Tara Reeves. He had five grandchildren, Dylan Spielman, RJ Haynes & wife, Karlee Haynes, Brady Spielman & wife, Sarah Spielman, Danielle Haynes & fiancé, Vince Nagel and Luke Spielman. Also, he had five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Steve Spielman & wife Jeannie Spielman, and many nieces and nephews.
His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved his family and they loved him immensely.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be private.
