Booth heads to Indoor Track states, Clark and Boyer wait for word

by Geoff Fox

The Hancock Panthers competed at the 1A West Regional Indoor Track Meet last Saturday, January 31, in Boonsboro that saw a school record tied.

Senior Landyn Clark tied the all-time Hancock Indoor Track high jump record and tied his own personal record with a jump of 5’8” to take fifth place at regionals.

Madison Booth placed second with a jump of 4’10” and qualified for state competition.

Makensie Boyer threw 26-10.00 in shot put.

Boyer and Clark have to wait for the other 1A regionals to be completed to know if they will also qualify for states, which should be this Friday.

Coaches said they are “so proud of our trio!”
