Hancock High School boys’ basketball team fell short in a 74-38 loss against the Huskies in Northern Garrett County last Friday, December 12.
The Panthers put up a fight, with junior Colton Welch scoring an impressive 21 points in the conference game.
Hunter Kerns sunk nine points, and senior Ethan Hill scored five points.
Nick McCusker scored two points, and Logan Hendershot scored one. The rest of the Panthers team assisted.
The Panthers stood 0-3 before hosting the Paw Paw Pirates last Monday.
Next up, the Panthers travel to Berkeley Springs to face off against the Indians on Friday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Ladies first
After a 60-20 loss in Northern Garrett last week, Hancock High School girls’ basketball team was 0-3 for the season.
The lady Panthers were looking for a win going into last Monday’s home game against Paw Paw.
This Friday, December 19, the girls’ basketball team will play first, at 6 p.m., against the lady Indians at Berkeley Springs High School.
