Booth takes 1st in high jump at meet named for former Hancock coach

The Panthers’ indoor track team was short a few athletes due to illness this past weekend, but the team still had four athletes achieve personal records and one take first in the high jump.

The Panthers took part in the Jeff Spielman Winter Classic at Hagerstown Community College this past Saturday, December 13, in Hagerstown.

The meet was named after long-time Hancock coach and teacher, and the man who started the indoor track program at the school, Jeff Spielman.

Madison Booth took first place in the high jump with a height of four feet, nine inches while Makensie Boyer finished in the top 10 in shot put.

The results for the Panthers include:

Girls: High Jump

Madison Booth – 4’9” – 1st place

Boys: Shot Put

Bailei Ray – 31’2.5”

Leland Clark – 29’7.75”

Girls: Shot Put

Makensie Boyer – 25’1” – PR and 10th place finish

Boys: 55 M

Landyn Clark – 7.26

Bailei Ray – 7.88

Girls: 55 M

Madison Booth – 8.40 PR

Makensie Boyer – 8.79

Boys: 300 M

Brody Morris – 47.19 PR

Boys: 500 M

Brody Morris – 1:31.34 PR
