Darleen Carol Miller
1943-2025
Darleen Carol (Sensel) Miller, age 82, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2025.
Born March 18, 1943 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. she was the daughter of Charles Frederick Sensel, Sr. and Nora Mabel (Cunningham) Sensel.
She was a 1961 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Shepherd College and her Master’s Degree from Shippensburg University.
Darleen was a devoted member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs. She was an avid member of several clubs and organizations, such as The Lions Club, Delta Kappa Gamma and Morgan County Retired School Personnel.
Darleen was a teacher in Morgan County schools for nearly 40 years, teaching fifth grade math and social studies.
Darleen is survived by her husband of 62 years, Carl “Sonny” Miller, two daughters, Carleen Kelly and Christina Stotler (husband Earl), eight grandchildren, Kayleen DiMinno, Ciara Shade (husband Ben), Chelsea Stotler (husband Sonny), Kristeen Scott (husband Michael), Christen Kesecker, Kyleen Kelly (husband Jacob), Kathleen Cranmer (husband Noah) and Caleb Stotler, nine great grandchildren, Olivia “Theo” DiMinno, Caylie Shade, Noah Shade, Charlotte Bryan, Cole Scott, Harper Shade, Carter Shade, Cason Scott and Logan Stotler and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Timothy Kelly, three sisters, Jean Gregory, Ilene Rankin and Douglass Miller and two brothers, Charles Sensel, Jr. and Buddy Jack Sensel.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 165 Pious Ridge Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. with Pastors Kenny Mason and Chuck Bergen officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, 522 South. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV. Following the services a luncheon will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Social Hall.
