The Town of Hancock has a new website where residents can login to pay their water and sewer bills.
Councilman David Kerns said the address is written at the bottom of their bills.
If a resident has an old account with no updated phone number, then they can’t get into the system, he said.
In an email to The Hancock News, Tax/Utility Clerk Jodi Finney said residents would need to go to townofhancock.epayub.com and set up an account, but the phone number must match the phone number in the town’s billing system. If it doesn’t, they will not be able to log in.

“They would need to call the office to let us know their phone number if it will not let them create an account,” she said.
If the person is a renter, they must have permission from their landlord to utilize the payment system.
Kerns said when signing up, it asks for the last four digits of the resident’s phone number and account number to create the online account.
Bills cannot paid a day or two online before the shutoff date due to the payment being in the town’s account.
Kerns said he tried logging in and couldn’t do so because his old phone number was attached to the bill and wanted to let people know about updating their phone numbers on their water bills.
