Warfordsburg man drowns accidentally in field incident

Police have found that a Warfordsburg man drowned in mid-July while he was mowing his yard.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, just after 6 p.m. on July 18, James Flowers, 66, of Warfordsburg, was mowing around his pond and got too close to the embankment, causing him to slide down the embankment and into the pond.

Police said his death was determined to be an accidental drowning.
