Planning has begun for National Night Out and the Town of Hancock and Hancock Police Department are looking for groups to set up at the event.
Any business, church or non-profit who would like to participate is asked to contact Jodi Finney at [email protected].
Include in the email the name of the organization and what you are planning on offering. Some examples include games, food, snacks, or giveaways.
The event on Tuesday, August 5 begins at 6 p.m. in Widmeyer Park, and is a free event for the community. 
Hot dogs, chips, and water will be available and fireworks will be going off later in the evening.
Organizers said they look forward to another wonderful event for the Police Department and First Responders.
