Hancock Police are looking for information regarding two incidents that occurred last week causing damage to a retaining wall on Pennsylvania Avenue and a power pole in the same area.
The power pole was struck sometime last Thursday and is currently leaning on another set of power lines, blocking the lot’ s entrance from Pennsylvania Avenue.
No other information was available about the vehicle that struck the pole.
The next day, the retaining wall at the same lot was struck.
Sgt. Shawn Faith of the Hancock Police Department said at this time there’s no information regarding the striking vehicle other than it could possibly be a tractor-trailer.
Despite hearsay about cameras in town, Town Manager Mike Faith said the cameras in town are working, but there was some disruption with the antenna due to work being done on the roof at Town Hall.
Faith added there have been issues before with tractor-trailers in that area before.
If you have any information regarding either incident, contact the Hancock Police Department at 1-800-792-8501.
