John Robert “Bobby” Bowers II, age 70, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va.
Born January 19, 1955 in Frederick, Md., he was the son of the late John Roberts and Dorothy Gorman Bowers.
Bobby graduated from Frederick County, Md. schools.
He was a carpenter and enjoyed the outdoors, mowing grass and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra Lynn Ridenour Bowers, at home, two daughters, Julie Ann Hess and her significant other, John Barber of Augusta, W.Va. and Jessica Rose Kerns (Donnie) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., three sons, John R. “Bo” Bowers III and Joseph Edward Bowers, both of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and Joshua Michael Bowers (Gabby) of Winchester, Va., 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, John Robert Bowers IV, two sisters, Sharon Davis and Pauline Brown and one brother, Joseph Bowers.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery following the service.
