Hancock boys varsity baseball rolled out of the gate against Berkeley Springs scoring consistently and never lagged last Monday, March 24, topping the Indians easily, 7-3.
Blaire Ray led from the mound and collected three runs for the Panthers, followed by two runs from Logan Hendershot and one each from Chandler Buskirk and Tyler Clingerman.
Hancock packed in three runs in the third inning, solidifying their lead in the fourth inning to 6-0. The Indians rallied in the fifth to add two runs to their tally but couldn’t catch up.
Two nights later, the Panthers faced the Northern Garrett Huskies, who dominated against Hancock, allowing only two hits by Hayden McCarty and Chandler Buskirk in the full game. Hancock rotated several pitchers on the mound throughout the evening.
The Panthers fell on Monday, March 31 to McConnellsburg
3-1 and will host Mountain Ridge on Thursday, April 3 at 4:45 p.m.
