Lady Panthers fall to Indians

In the first regular varsity softball game of the 2025 season, Hancock’s Lady Panthers came out of the first inning strong against the Berkeley Springs Indians on the Indian field, but couldn’t keep pace, losing to the Tribe 8-4. Panther hitters drove in two runs right off the bat, and added runs in the third and fourth inning, connecting for nine hits throughout the game. Berkeley Springs was heavier on the bat, bringing in three runs in the first, another two in the fourth, and three more by the last inning.

Box score details were not available for Hancock at press time.

The Panthers faced off against Mountain Ridge on Monday night at home and were set to meet Northern Garrett at home on Wednesday. Hancock ladies will play at McConnellsburg next Monday, March 31 at 4:30 p.m.
