Robert “Bobby” Stanley Riggleman

1947-2025

Robert “Bobby” Stanely Riggleman, 77, of Little Orleans, Md., passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

Born September 27, 1947, in Cumberland, Md., Bobby was the son of the late Robert Nathaniel Riggleman and Freeda Cristina (Bennett) Riggleman.

He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents who helped raise him: Howard and Grethel Bennett.

Bobby was an avid hunter and a member of the N.R.A. He helped build and was also a member of the Long Hollow Chapel, having attended for 31 years, and was very fond of their minister: Madeline Shank.

Bobby was very close and active with his family, especially his grandkids, his chickens, his pet goose: “Marina” and his cats: Bear, Heidi and Sweet Pea.

He retired from AC&T in 2010 and went to work at Town Hill Auto until 2024

. Bobby hit the floor running every day, always working and had a knack for making people smile with his ornery ways, but would do anything for anyone.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 59 years: Carol (Fletcher) Riggleman; his daughters: Bobbie Visco (wife of the late Ralph Visco); Annette Yonker (Brian) and Misti Kerns (Irvin); his grandchildren: (late Joey Richardson) Amber Richardson, Adam Yonker (Morgann), Chad Yonker (Leah), Chandra Yonker (Dillon) and Robbie McCusker (Becky); his great grandchildren: Annie, Mystic, Trinity, Elizabeth, Jaden, Aria, Bryant, Gage, Audrey, Brantley, Lily, Annsley, Ellie, Cole, Payton, Rilee and Benton; his sisters: Connie Davis (wife of the late Homer Davis) and Nancy Shreve (Bill); a brother who preceded him in death: Gary Riggleman; as well as Chester McCusker, who he thought of as a son; his special nephews: Scott Turner and Evan Moran; and extended family and nieces and nephews.

Friends were received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, Md., (www.Adams FamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, March 3, 2025. Funeral service followed at 2 p.m. with Mark Faith officiating. Interment was in Price Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Robbie McCusker, Chad Yonker, Adam Yonker, Brian Yonker, Irvin Kerns, Jayden Yonker, Bryant Yonker and Scott Turner.
