1929-2025
Naomi Virginia Michael, 95, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Berkeley Springs Healthcare Center.
Naomi was born March 18, 1929 in Morgan County to the late Harley Lavan Householder and Rosetta Wolfel Householder.
She attended Spohrs Crossroads School in Morgan County and attended church at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs.
Naomi worked at the Interwoven in Berkeley Springs until it closed. She continued as a full-time homemaker who loved working in her garden growing just about everything they ate and took special pride in her tomatoes.
She loved to hunt wildlife and grow flowers for her church members especially Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. She also loved her cats and dogs.
She is survived by her daughter Judy Harden (James) and son John Michael (Rhonda), four grandchildren Jeannette, Becky, Michael and Logan, six great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward Michael in 2023, two sisters Pearl Beddow and Opal Johnson, and three brothers Elmer Householder, Elwood Householder and Melvin Householder.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 5377 Martinsburg Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Reverend Lindsay Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.
The family received friends from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
