Hancock’ s boys varsity basketball team is stacking up wins to build a 7-8 record as they head into the final games of the 2025 season.
The Panthers out the sting on the Hyndman Charter School Hornets on Friday, February 7, winning in Hyndman territory 44-23. Hancock led scoring in the first quarter, with 14 on the board as the Hornets put up 5. The Panther boys
stacked up their lead, closing the game with 18 points in the final quarter to secure their win. Senior Jacob Anderson led scoring with 13 points, followed by sophomore Tucker Welch with 10 points.
Hancock topped Bishop Walsh’ s Spartans 78-52 on Thursday, February 13, coming out strong in the first quarter with 25 points on the board, followed up by another 19 in the second quarter. The Panthers didn’t let up, adding 34 more points in the second half as the Spartans tried to catch up. Top scorer for Hancock, senior Jacob Anderson, put up 25 points for the Panthers, followed by sophomore Hunter Kerns with 18 points and junior Ethan Hill with 10 points for Hancock. All Hancock players added to the scoreboard in the matchup.
