Margaret Ann Bean

1944-2025

Margaret Ann Bean, age 80, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at her home.

Born November 8, 1944 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Raymond Alston and Ollie Lou Crouse Mason.

Margaret was a Christian. She attended schools in Morgan County, W.Va. Margaret was a cook at Chevy Chase High School in Montgomery County, Md. from which she retired. She also worked as a prep person for McDonald’s for 17 years.

Margaret enjoyed travel and playing cards and loved her fur baby, “Gizmo.”

She was a member of Risinger-Stotler V.F.W. Post #4019 Auxiliary in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Ann List and fiancé, Edward Rapp, her son Theodore Alvin Bean and his wife, Tiffany, one sister, Anna Messner, all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., four grandchildren, Cody List, Brittany List, Darion Durity and Elizabeth Watson and three step-grandchildren, Avery King, Abbey Ryan and Alex Ryan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Alvin Park “Chick” Bean, three brothers, Glenwood Mason, Charles Mason and Robert Mason and two sisters, Reva Mason and Louise Parrill.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February l, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Asbury Methodist Church, 1634 North River Road, Baker, W.Va. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, Baker, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. on Friday, January 31, 2025 and one hour prior to services at the church in Baker, W.Va. on Saturday.
