Linda Kay Barker

1951-2024

The Lord took Linda Kay Clingerman Barker home to be with him on the day that bonds two special sisters together forever on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

Linda was born on December 16, 1951 in Largent, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Oscar L. “Pete” and Mamie Mae Eaton Clingerman.

She attended Berkeley Baptist Church.

Linda was 1969 class graduate of Paw Paw High School. She retired from Arndt-McBee Insurance Agency and earlier years work for nursing homes for a short time.

Linda was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter #1311, Alderton-Dawson Auxiliary Unit #60 and the Berkeley Springs Lions Club.

Linda loved traveling, shopping, volunteering at the food pantry and bowling.

Linda is survived by her two sons, Keith E. Barker (Traci) and Aaron M. Barker, all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., one brother, Raymond E. Clingerman, two granddaughters, Alexis and Kat Barker, one grandson, Chase Barker (USMC), six nieces, two nephews, one special sister, Susan Goldizen, her adopted son, Jeremy Mills, her companion, Dale Winstead and a lot of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, John Everett “Johnny” Barker, Jr., one sister, one brother, one niece and one nephew.

Funeral services were conducted at noon on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Berkeley Baptist Church, 172 Winchester Grade Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family received friends one hour prior to services. Pastor Joseph “Joey” Giles, Jr. officiated. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
