Roger Lee Taylor
1955-2024
Roger Lee Taylor, age 69, of Berkeley Springs, died on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
Born July 6, 1955 in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry Herbert and Ruth Eleanor Truax Taylor.
He was a Christian. Roger was a 1973 graduate of Hancock High School and received his electrical certificate. He worked for six years with the WD Bowers Tannery as an electrician and retired from Meritus Medical Center as a HVAC coordinator. Roger loved going to amusement parks and playing poker with his daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. He and his granddaughter like to play Mario Party together.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Diane Marie Shoemaker Taylor, at home; his daughter, Crystal Lynn Taylor and her fiancée, Bucky Divel of Berkeley Springs; one granddaughter, Trinity Rain Divel and his two favorite dogs, Odie and Max.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV. Pastor Matthew Swope will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until service time.
