Hancock Middle-Senior High School to hold first Career Chat

Hancock Middle-Senior High School will be holding their first in a series of three Career Chat assemblies of the 2024-2025 school year this Friday, October 11.

Students in grades 8-12 will be in attendance at the assembly, which will focus on the careers in healthcare.

Career professionals from Hancock, Warfordsburg, Needmore, and Hagerstown will be speaking about careers in x-ray and ultrasound, nursing, physicians, mental health, 911 operators, EMTs, paramedics, therapies, and medical support staff.

Career Coach Susan Mott said of the 10 presenters, five are graduates of Hancock Middle-Senior High School.

Mott said after the assembly, presenters would have a meet and greet with students in the cafeteria to answer questions during the high school lunch.

Future Career Chats include education in the fields of trades and leisure, sports and tourism.
