Thomas Emil Zahnow

1961-2024

Thomas Emil Zahnow, age 63, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Monday, September 9, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family and while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born February 10, 1961 in Santa Ana, Calif., he was the son of the late Milo Duane Zahnow, Sr. and the late Eleanor Jean Needham Zahnow.

He was a member of Alpine Bible Church.

Tom was a high school graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

He worked as a laborer with U.S. Silica.

Tom was a lifetime member of Berkeley Springs Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed woodworking, going on Caribbean cruises, spending time with his grandchildren and attending school sports activities. Tom is survived by his wife Ann Zahnow at home, three daughters, Megan Bowlding and her husband, Jeris of Bowie, Md., Amy Marshall and her husband, Lance of Frederick, Md. and Samantha Lechliter and her husband, Ian of Middletown, Pa., one brother, Milo Duane Zahnow, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn of Berkeley Springs, seven grandchildren, Talia Marshall, Jeris “JT” Bowlding, Hendrix Bowlding, Kingsley Bowlding, Gabriel Lechliter, Parker Lechliter and Sienna Lechliter and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Linda L. Miller and Kathleen Ann Vanorsdale.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 165 Pious Ridge Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time. Pastor Kenny Mason will officiate. Private burial will be at sea.
