Juanita Mae Sherrard
1931-2024
Juanita Mae Sherrard, age 92, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family and while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born December 12, 1931 in Charleston, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John William and Anna Viola Spriggs Pritchard.
She was a Christian and a member of Oakland United Methodist Church.
Juanita was a homemaker all her life to her children and family. She enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Juanita is survived by her children, Rodney Pritchard and his wife Sherry, Sherry Harris and Randy Sherrard and his wife, Betty, all of Berkeley Springs, two brothers, Roger Pritchard of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and Clyde Pritchard of Otsego, Minn., seven grandchildren, Eric, Karen, Mandy, Jamie, Jodi, April and Randy, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Sherrard, Jr., two sons, Rick Pritchard and Clayton “Newt” Sherrard, one sister, Ruth Barber and three brothers, Ralph, Gary and Leroy Pritchard.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Pastor Jack W. Hiles, Jr. officiated. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
