Panthers head to Baltimore City on Saturday for first football game

The Hancock Panthers varsity football team travels to Baltimore City this Saturday, August 24 for an 11 a.m. scrimmage against the Bayhawks at Benjamin Franklin High School.

The Panthers’ first game of the season will be played at home on Friday, September 6 at 7 p.m. when they host the

Lumberjacks of Pine Grove, West Virginia.

Ron Hare returns as head football coach for the Panthers. Joining him are assistant coaches Perry Kennedy, Rocky Wills and Todd Ruppenthal, along with volunteer coaches Scott Buskirk and Arnold Vincent. Athletic Director is Kermit Moyer.

Seven high school seniors are on the roster this season, including Jacob Anderson, Nick Creek, Aiden McCarty, Hayden McCarty, Logan Trumpower, Shawn Thomas and Brody Stratton.

Last season, Aiden McCarty led the team in rushing. Quarterback Jacob Anderson was the leading scorer.
