Cheer program returns to Hancock High School

Cheerleading will return to Hancock Middle Senior High School this fall after a ten-year hiatus.

“We are thrilled to reintroduce the cheer program at Hancock Middle Senior High,” announced Jennifer Ruppenthal, Principal of Hancock Middle Senior High School.

“The energy and enthusiasm that cheerleaders bring to our school events are invaluable, and we’re excited to see our students take on this opportunity to shine and represent our school with pride,” Ruppenthal said.

In preparation for the return of its cheer program, the school has invested in new uniforms.

Alex Cartwright has been named head cheer coach.

“Cheerleading is more than just performing at games. It’s about building a sense of community and belonging,” said Coach Cartwright.

Ruth Bradley has been named assistant cheer coach.

Car wash fundraiser

The school’s new cheer squad and coaches will host a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, August 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Roland’s Garage, located at 153 E. Main Street in Hancock.
