Scharlett K. Sauter
1948-2024
Scharlett K. Sauter (Shug), age 76, of Warfordsburg, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at her home.
Born January 25, 1948, in Swanton, Md., she was the daughter of the late Charles Harvey and Pearl Martin.
Scharlett was a graduate of Hancock High School, Class of 1966, and a member of the Alpine Christian Church.
What a woman. Scharlett was best known for her positivity, strength, and the best hugs. Her smile would light up any room. She will be dearly missed by everyone. Along with her loving children, grandchildren, and great grandchild, she was surrounded by many loving brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband, Craig R. Sauter, Sr.; one daughter, Monique K. Cain, and husband Christopher A. Cain; one son, Craig R. Sauter, Jr. and wife Tara Sauter; five grandchildren, Tera Lyn Stotler, Caitlin B. Cain, Emelie G. Sauter, Raechel M. Sauter and Jake R. Gattens; and one great-grandchild, Nicholas Quarantillo, Jr.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her parent in laws, John H. Sauter and Gertha M. Sauter (Daniels), and one grandson, Jacob I. Cain.
Scharlett had so many friends and family that loved her, and she loved them just as much.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024. The time and place will be announced at a later time.
A special thanks to all her nurses at DaVita Dialysis Center. She loved each and every one of you.
