Tammy Jean Dickey
1964-2024
Tammy Jean Dickey, age 60, formerly of Hancock, Md. passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Hagerstown Healthcare, Hagerstown, Md. while under the care of Hospice.
Born Saturday, May 16, 1964, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Bowers and Connie and Dewey French.
Tammy worked as a GNA/CNA for thirty years and loved taking care of people.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne “Tatter” Dickey; four daughters, Renee Buterbaugh (husband Shaun) of Warfordsburg, Pa., Danielle Hufham (husband JC) and Sandra Exline (husband Ty) of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Stephanie Harshman (husband Gary) of Hancock, Md.; one son, David Creek, Jr. (wife Brandi) of Great Cacapon, W.Va.; one stepson, Noah Teays of Winchester, Va. Tammy is also survived by seven grandchildren, Alissa Buterbaugh, Joshua Creek, Remington Creek, Breanna Ritz, Olivia Exline, Samuel Hufham and Weston Creek; and one brother John Bowers, Sr. of Hancock, Md.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons; one brother-in-law, Beanie Dickey; and father-in-law, Joe Dickey.
Visitation will be held at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md. 21750 on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, 3013 Pleasant Grove Road, Warfordsburg, Pa. 17267.
