June Lee Brown
1929-2024
June Lee Brown, age 95, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at War Memorial Hospital Extended Care Unit.
Born April 22, 1929 in New Hope, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Oscar Brent Weber and Laura Grace McBee.
June was a member of Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church.
She worked at Interwoven Mills in Martinsburg, W.Va., London Fog in Hancock, Md. and was a teacher’s aide.
She loved reading, walking the track and watching television, especially sports.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda L. Yost (Tom) and Pam A. Capozziello (Corrie), one son, Craig R. Brown, one sister, Geraldine M. Willard, seven grandchildren, Candi, Erin, Jonathan, Sergey, Kyra, Svetlana and Liam, four great-grandchildren, Loguen, Lauren, Anna and Mia, one great-great-grandson, Coleman and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Beverley Brown, two sisters and eight brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV with Chaplain Jonathan Yost officiating. Burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
