Shirley Ann Swadley
1940-2024
Shirley Ann Swadley, 83, Big Cove Tannery, Pa., passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Fulton County Medical Center, in McConnellsburg, Pa.
Born November 16, 1940, in Big Cove Tannery, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Homer and Ida Shives Litton, and the wife of Bob Swadley.
She was a 1958 graduate of Southern Fulton High School.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, she is survived by a daughter, Kathi Shreve, and husband Kenneth, McConnellsburg Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Betty Swadley, widow of Steven; three grandchildren, Benjamin Swadley, Matthew Swadley, and Logan Shreve; five great-grandchildren, Grace, Noah, Bryn, Huck and Emma Swadley; one sister, Madeline Booth, and husband, Clyde; one brother, Lester Litton, and wife, Linda; one brother-in-law, Ray Swadley, and wife Jessie; and seven nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steven Swadley.
The family received friends Friday, May 31, 2024, 6-8 p.m, at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, Md. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
