Linda Kay McCumbee

1948-2024

Linda Kay McCumbee, age 76, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at War Memorial Hospital.

Born February 25, 1948 in Washington County, Ore., she was the daughter of the late Charles Carroll and Anita Mae Morgan Randleman.

She was a 1966 class graduate of Suitland High School in Suitland, Md. and received her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Hagerstown Business College.

Linda worked as a banker from 1985 until her retirement in 2016 from Berkeley Springs BB&T Bank Branch.

She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter #1311 in Berkeley Springs and was a member of several Hudson Car Clubs.

Linda enjoyed going to car shows, playing games and puzzles on her laptop, going to cookouts, spending time with her family, especially with her children and grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her children, Charles Frank McCumbee and his wife, Diana and Frank Charles McCumbee, Sr., all of Berkeley Springs, one stepdaughter, Tammy Lynn Waugh of Gastonia, N.C., two brothers-in-law, Joie Lee McCumbee and Ramsay Elwood McCumbee, both of Berkeley Springs, two grandsons, Frank Charles McCumbee, Jr. of Troupe, Texas and Matthew Tyler McCumbee of Martinsburg, W.Va. and several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Frank “Cubbage” McCumbee, Jr., three stepchildren, Donald Reid “Yogi” McCumbee and David Wayne McCumbee and Darla Jo McCumbee, one grandson, William Thomas McCumbee, one brother, Joseph Randleman, one brother-in-law, Rocky Lane McCumbee and sister-in-law, Mary Ann McCumbee.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until service time. Pastor Lisa Unger will officiate. Burial will be private.
