Sharon Ann Price Walker
1946-2024
Sharon Ann Price Walker, age 77, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born August 5, 1946 in New Martinsville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harland T. and Elizabeth Mae “Libby” Sullivan Price.
She was a 1964 graduate of Paden City High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from West Virginia University in Science Education and her Master’s Degree from Temple University in Science Education. Sharon worked as a chemistry teacher with Great Mills High School in Leonardtown, MD. She enjoyed antiquing, crafting, reading and the company of her cats.
Sharon is survived by her children, William Michael Walker and significant other, Anna Needham of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Kindra Kathleen Walker and her significant others, Randi Foos and Chet Kenney, all of McKeesport, Pa. and Shayna Marie Walker and her significant other, Craig Pell, one sister, Brenda Price Nauman and her significant other, Michael Pitzer of Gerrardstown, W.Va., two brothers, Denny Price and his wife, Penny of Bunker Hill, W.Va. and Byron Price of Weirton, W.Va., one granddaughter, Haylee Raina Walker and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Walker on May 5, 2008 and one daughter, Raina Walker.
Funeral services were conducted at noon on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family received friends one hour prior to services. Chaplain Wayne Clark officiated. Burial was in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
