Hancock’s varsity softball team made their way back to the field on Friday after more than a week’s hiatus, going head to head against Southern Fulton’s Indians on April 5.

The Lady Panthers had bursts of scoring against Southern Fulton in Warfordsburg, but lost traction in the second half of the game, with a final score of 18-5.

Hancock scored two runs in the third inning, and another three in the fifth. The Indians stacked the scoreboard early on, earning six runs by the third inning, and adding another six by the end of the fifth inning. A seventh inning rally by Southern Fulton added another six runs, putting the game out of reach for the Panthers.

Hancock played McConnellsburg on Monday evening, April 8 and is set to travel to Hagerstown this evening, April 10, to play the Goretti Gaels. The Panthers will travel to Turkeyfoot Valley on Friday evening to match up against the Rams in Confluence, Pa.
