Ernest Francis Robinson
1947-2024
Ernest Francis Robinson, age 77, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at War Memorial Hospital.
Born March 10, 1947 in McCoole, Md., he was the son of Harry W and Lucy Belle Riggleman Robinson.
He served with the United States Navy.
Ernest worked until his retirement with Rayloc in Hancock, Md.
Mr. Robinson loved tinkering around with his older vehicles.
Ernie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Diana Twigg Robinson, at home; two daughters, Jenny Lynn Sipe and her husband, Jimmy and Angela Dawn Smith and her husband Aaron; one brother Thomas Lee Robinson and his wife, Barb; one sister, Rebecca Ann Morris and her husband, Ernest; six grandsons; two granddaughters; one great grandson; one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie Sue Robinson; one sister, Shirley Jean Harbaugh and one brother, Dale W. Robinson.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Pastor Kenny Mason officiated. Burial was in Greenway Cemetery. Following the committal prayers, a time of fellowship and refreshments was offered at Hancock Assembly of God in Hancock, Md. The family received friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
