Charles Anthony “Tony” Fleece

1962-2024

Charles Anthony “Tony” Fleece, age 61, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at his daughter’s residence while under the care of his wife, daughter and Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born December 15, 1962 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles Edward “Stoney” and Carole Ann Coffman Fleece.

He was a 1981 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

Tony worked as a stone mason with Fleece’s Masonry, Rayloc in Hancock, Md., and in the maintenance department with Cacapon State Park.

He liked listening to music, kayaking with friends and spending time with his grandson.

Tony is survived by his wife, Robin Ann Mason Fleece, at home; one daughter, Casey Rochelle Fleece and her fiancée, Shawn Brenneman, of Hedgesville; one sister, Barbara Gale Fleece, of Berkeley Springs; one brother-in-law and good friend, Howard Nine; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rick Mason and his wife, Devi, of Martinsburg and Dawn Loy and her husband, Jim, of Martinsburg; one grandson, Eli Jacob Cowles and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia Lynn Fleece; one brother, Brian Scott Fleece and one sister-in-law, Debra Nine. At his request a kayaking trip with a picnic will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tony’s memory may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
