Melody Dawn Truax Ruppenthall, 72, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away peacefully Monday, February 12, 2024, at Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown, Md.
Born November 22, 1951, in McConnellsburg, Pa., Melody was a 1970 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
Melody was quiet, thoughtful, and never said a mean word to anyone. She was happiest reading and spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family and grandsons, she was a true housewife. As her family grew older, she spent her working career as a cashier, photography technician, and a quality control inspector.
She is survived by her husband and lifelong companion, Michael Leon Ruppenthall; daughter, Keela Dawn Ruppenthall and husband Aaron; two sons, Jason Michael Ruppenthall and wife Nadia, and Dustin David Ruppenthall; four grandsons, Jonathan Michael Ruppenthall, Christian Alexander Ruppenthall, Parker Nathaniel Corgard and Blake Anthony Ruppenthall; mother, June Percy; and brothers Gene, Jim, John, Bobby and Charles, and her beloved sister Theresa.
Melody will be greatly missed by everyone in her family.
