Last Thursday’s home basketball faceoff between Hancock and the Forbes Road Cardinals ticked another box in the win column for the Panther boys on Thursday, February 15. Hancock topped the Cardinals 65-61, building on heavy scoring by Senior Isaiah Demory (18 points), Junior Aiden McCarty (14 points) and Junior Jacob Anderson (12 points). Demory also grabbed six rebounds in play against Forbes Road, aided by sophomores Ethan Hill and Brooks Norris, who each grabbed four rebounds.
Varsity boys followed their win with a loss on the road to Union, 44-69.
The Panthers will close their 2023-24 season in home court matchup against Union on Wednesday, February 21, with the game starting at 5:30 p.m. Hancock’s boys will head into their final game with a 5-15 record.
