Janice Muriel Coghill Clingerman
1948-2023
Janice Muriel Coghill Clingerman, age 75, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born August 12, 1948 in Tappahannock, Va., she was the daughter of the late Scott Merle and Marjorie Taylor Coghill.
She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Janice was active within her church volunteering with the food pantry, church dinners and attending Bible study.
She was a graduate of Willow Grove High School in Willow Grove, Pa., and received her certificate in accounting from James Rumsey Technical Institute.
Janice retired from the IRS as an account manager.
She enjoyed sitting at her gazebo and reading cookbooks.
Janice is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ronald Lynn Clingerman, at home; one daughter, Heather Clingerman of Houston, Texas; one brother, Duane Coghill of Caret, Va.; two grandchildren, Nicholas Clingerman and Kyra Clingerman; one niece, Jessica Revels and her husband Craig; one nephew, Scott Coghill and his fiancé, Taylor Hayes and three great nieces and nephews, Layton, Ella and Scarlett.
Funeral services were conducted at noon on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 5377 Martinsburg Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Chaplain Lindsey Arnold officiated. Private burial was in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.
The family received friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday, December 28.
