James Eric Hovermale
1969-2023
James Eric “Jimmy” Hovermale, age 53, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born December 18, 1969 in McConnellsburg, Pa., he is survived by his father, James Ray Hovermale and his wife, Teresa of Berkeley Springs and his mother, Connie Vera Pryor Hovermale and her companion, Gary Hill of Needmore, Pa.
He was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
James worked at Fleetwood Travel Trailers in Hancock, Md. Jimmy worked with his father in the family business, Hovermale Electric and recently he worked for CSX Transportation as a locomotive engineer.
He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to music.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Erica Richelle McCoy Hovermale at home, four sons, Cohen James Hovermale and his wife, Megan of Martinsburg, W.Va., Preston Garrett Hovermale and his wife, Brittney, Gavin Nicholas Hovermale and his fiancé, Harlee Souders and Holden Reese Hovermale, all of Berkeley Springs, one sister Angela Mae Earle and her husband, Jon of Berkeley Springs, one brother-in-law, DK McCoy, three grandchildren, Weston Cooper Hovermale, Asher James Hovermale and Ariella Marie Hovermale and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Sabrina McCoy.
Celebration of Life services will be at a later date. Burial will be private.
