Donna Sue Forquer

1965-2023

Donna Sue Forquer, Little Orleans, Md., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Born June 11, 1965, in San Diego, Calif., Donna was a wonderful person who you could count on to put a smile on your face and make you laugh. She would do anything she could for those she loved.

Donna is survived by her father, Melvin William Curry; brother, Michael (Brandi) Curry; her husband, Russell Forquer Sr.; three loving children, Russell (Shy) Forquer Jr., Jennifer (Brian) Hill, Christine (Austin) Demand; six grandchildren, who she absolutely adored, Zoey, Julia, Ethan, Emma, Ella and Sutton.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Jane Curry; sister, Melody Curry Eichelman and her brother, Daniel Curry.

Donna was a proud 1983 graduate of Lansdowne High School and lived a fulfilling life feeding and serving the local community; if you don’t have at least one memory of her behind that Belle Grove counter, you’re missing out! She was currently employed by Jimmy Joy’s Log Cabin Inn, of Hancock, Md., and enjoyed her time there, as well as her co-workers.

In her free time, Donna loved being around her family, any chance she had to spend time with her children or grandbabies was the highlight of her day. She had a soft spot for animals and never met a furry, feathered or scaled soul she didn’t love. She enjoyed a good Oriole’s game, and loved to go fishing, but don’t expect her to take the fish off the hook! Donna had an intelligence that she kept quiet, you could clearly see the knowledge behind her years when hearing her speak of her passion of music or as an opponent of hers on the chess board. Donna was a ray of light to the paths she crossed and will be missed dearly, but never forgotten.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, Md.
