Shirley Sue Huntzberry

Shirley Sue Huntzberry, age 68, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Monday, September 18, 2023 at War Memorial Hospital Extended Care Facility.
Born December 3, 1954 in Bluefield, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Douglas Richard and Elizabeth Grubb Mills.
She was a Christian.
Shirley was a 1973 graduate of Bluefield High School and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Mountain State University in Nursing. She retired as a Nursing Director from Somerford in Hagerstown, Md. and had worked as a medical office manager with Andrew J. Berens, M.D. Family Medicine of Berkeley Springs office.
Shirley loved being outdoors, camping, taking walks, staying at the cabin, going hiking and going to the beach.
Shirley is survived by her children, Eric Dwayne Williams and his wife, Delores of Salem, Va., Shanahan Gayle Elmore of Berkeley Springs and Jonathan Dean Elmore of Hagerstown, Md., one sister, Donna Bennet of Jacksonville, Fla., one brother, Richard Mills of Dallas, Texas, two grandchildren, Amanda and Sierra, two great-grandchildren, Harlee and Parker.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV. Services and burial will be private.
