Jack William Stotler
1937-2023
Jack William Stotler, age 86, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born July 26, 1937, he was the son of the late Lester and Vietta Bell Michael Stotler and was raised by the late George and Laura Goller.
He was a member of Michael’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Jack was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
He worked as an upholsterer and worked at Fairchild in Hagerstown, Md.
Jack was a member of the Morgan County Farm Bureau where he was one of the organizers of the Morgan County 4H Fair. He served on the Board of Directors of the Pleasant View Community Center where he helped with the annual apple butter project and had served on the Camp Frame 4H Camp Frame Board of Directors.
Jack loved farming, hunting and gardening.
Jack is survived by his children, Diana Lynn Master and her companion, Dennis Neely of Berkeley Springs, Pamela Michele Kerns and her husband Jeffery of Capon Bridge, W.Va., Kirk William Stotler and his fiancé, Trina Young of Hedgesville and James Joseph Novak and his wife Betty Jo of Berkeley Springs, whom he loved like a son, two sisters, Patricia Hessler of Berkeley Springs and Ruth Dove of Sharpsburg, Md., seven grandchildren, Whitney, T.J., Amber, Bethany, Matthew, Taylor and Garrett, six great-grandchildren, Jayden, Zayne, Landon, Walker, Marshall and Graham, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his parents that raised him, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Patsy J. “Pat” Shives Stotler, four sisters, Cleda Cook, Henrietta Shaffer, June Miluskewicz and Dorothy Weller and one brother, Dennis Stotler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Michael’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 884 Michael’s Chapel Road, Hedgesville, W.Va., with Pastor Dennis Rhoe officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV.
