Frederick William Oakes, Jr., age 71, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Friday, August 11, 2023 at his home.
Born March 22, 1952 in Bethesda, Md., he was the son of the late Frederick William Oakes, Sr. and Elizabeth Jean Skinner Oakes.
He attended Montgomery County Schools in Maryland. Fred worked as a truck driver with the Montgomery County Alcohol Beverage Services in Maryland. He loved to hunt and fish.
Fred is survived by his wife Peggy Ann Dean Oakes, at home, one son, Daniel Oakes of Berkeley Springs, and one sister.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother.
At Fred’s request, there will be no services.
