Joan Marie “Judy” Hovermale
1939-2023
Joan Marie “Judy” Hovermale, age 84, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the Berkeley Springs Healthcare Center.
Born January 17, 1939 in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Donald Rockwell and Edna Otterbein Stotler VanGosen.
She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Judy was a 1957 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She was a homemaker to her husband all her life. Judy was a member of the Mountain State Cruisers, where she was treasurer for many years.
She enjoyed cooking, riding motorcycles and going to car shows with her husband.
Judy is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Floyd “Woody” Hovermale.
Services and private burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.
