The new basketball and pickleball courts in Widmeyer Park are ready to see action. The new basketball equipment went up last Thursday, July 27, and the pickleball nets were installed on Saturday, July 29. The new courts replace the old tennis courts that occupied the same footprint for a number of years. The fencing and basketball hoops that sat between these courts and the Lions Pavilion were removed to allow for more parking at the pavilion. Town officials hoped to have everything ready for National Night Out on Tuesday evening, August 1.
