Summer means putting a line in the Potomac

Brayden Reed, 11, of Hancock was fishing for the big one – muskies, catfish or bass – at the Hancock boat ramp on the Potomac River recently. He and his grandma say they enjoy finding fun things to do in the summer, like cast fishing. Reed, a rising sixth grader at Hancock Middle Senior High School, displays a photo of a musky, a large apex predator, explaining how he was switching his bait from crayfish to a frog lure, pulled from his large collection of neatly- stacked fishing lures, to better entice the tricky fish. photos by Lisa Schauer
