It takes a skillful artist to paint our lives. Our creator often commissions more artists to paint the colors of the sky, sunset, ocean, spring flowers and all of the details that make up this earthly world. On March 29, 2023, he called another artist home. Debbie’s artistic eye and skilled hands will now be used to add color to our world. With a quick swipe of our creator’s brush Debbie left her earthly home surrounded by loved ones and joined friends and family that have gone before her.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Michael F. Stanger, one son, Chad Ferguson and his partner, Raudel Caldera, one daughter, Shae Nelson and her husband Brian, one brother, Darrell Bullard and his wife Kathy, one sister, Glenda Traweek and her husband Larry, five grandchildren, Alex Nelson and his wife Allison, Caitlyn Day, Sam Day, Jack Nelson, Brandon Ferguson and Baily Ferguson, three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Macklan and Baby Day, nieces and nephews, Kyle Traweek and his wife Kathleen, Tim Bullard, Shawnee Traweek, Christie Stanger, Tony Elliott and wife Kathi and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Debbie served in the United States Army from February 17, 1987 until her honorable discharge on August 9, 1990 at the rank of a Specialist, where she was awarded the Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, Marksman Badge with M16 Rifle Bar and Driver and Mechanic Badge. She worked as a dietician and florist. Debbie was an artist who worked hard and took pride in all that she did. She was most passionate about family, friends and loved ones and was always quick to lend a hand or offer guidance. Debbie was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandma and great grandma.
